Heliae Introduces Regenerative Agriculture and Soil Health Programs to Canada

Ron Taylor to lead the launch of Heliae Agriculture within Canada

Heliae® Agriculture is pleased to announce the addition of Ron Taylor as Canadian General Manager to lead their regenerative agriculture initiatives expansion in Canada. Relentlessly focused on addressing soil concerns for the next 50 years, Heliae is introducing innovative new biological products that enhance soil health and thereby improving overall plant health with a regenerative approach.

“Through our continued successes we have seen in our U.S. trials, it only makes sense to expand our efforts to Canada,” states Heliae President and CEO, Eric Lichtenheld. “Expanding our regenerative agriculture story with a regional expert Ron Taylor, will allow us to provide Canadian growers incremental value focused on their soil health that will provide an immediate impact today as well as for future generations.”

Taylor joins Heliae® Agriculture efforts with over 30 years of experience focused on the science and development of products to improve plant health. He brings a broad experience in Canadian crop production with his background spanning the seed industry, crop protection, as well as the biostimulant segment. He has experience assisting on various soil types, environmental challenges and crop stresses growers face nationwide.

“Taylor will play an integral role in identifying key distributors and retail partners to build the Canadian business from the ground up,” said Norm Davy, Chief Revenue Officer. “Working closely with these retailers and their growers he will assist with identifying key soil and crop concerns in the region and provide unique soil health solutions.”

With roots in crop production in South West Ontario, Taylor brings a wealth of knowledge from his past experiences at Acadian Seaplants, Syngenta Canada Inc., Engage Agro Corp., BASF Canada Inc., and Monsanto Canada Inc. Taylor has actively supported organizations such as the Canadian Seed Trade Association, Plant Technology Agency, Corn Pest Coalition, and the Agri-Marketing Association. He holds a BA in Physical Geography/Geomorphology from the University of Windsor and professional development trainings from Harvard Businss School, INSEAD Business School, CropLife Canada, and Syngenta.

“I am looking forward to introducing this intriguing new technology, PhycoTerra® to Canadian agriculture. Throughout my whole career, I have been focused on helping farmers to improve their crops,” said Taylor. “Crop production is dependent on the health of soils and the PhycoTerra® product line is proven to help rejuvenate the life of multiple soil types, with higher levels and diversity of microbial activity, resulting in healthier plants and improved production.”
