With the presidential campaign getting all the attention this year, it may have gone relatively unnoticed that 2016 was a very good year for the ethanol industry. Renewable Fuels Association president and CEO Bob Dinneen talks about it in this Ethanol Report.Ethanol Report on 2016 in Review
2016 has been a great year for the ethanol industry, according to Renewable Fuels Association president and CEO Bob Dinneen.
Dinneen says more ethanol in higher blends got into the nation’s fuel supply in 2016.
China brought anti-dumping charges this year against U.S. exports of the ethanol co-product distillers dried grains or DDG, but Dinneen says they were able to make up for that with exports to other countries.
And Dinneen says they are developing new export markets for ethanol even as European Union’s anti-dumping duties against the U.S. were found to be illegal this year.
Dinneen says the industry is looking forward to a healthy and prosperous 2017.
