Iowa Groups Outraged Over EPA Proposal

Representatives of Iowa’s corn, ethanol, biodiesel and soybean producers held a press conference Wednesday in response to the Supplemental Proposal for Renewable Fuels Volumes released Tuesday by EPA.

Iowa Corn Growers Association CEO Craig Floss quoted one farmer who is outraged over the proposal. “No more Iowa Nice, now it’s Iowa Pissed.”

Floss was joined by Iowa Soybean Association farmer Dave Walton; Grant Kimberley, Iowa Biodiesel Board; and Monte Shaw, Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, who all condemned the EPA proposal which they say fails to live up to President Trump’s promise to biofuels producers.

  1. Lets be clear, the EPA is part of the Executive Branch. The EPA Proposal IS Trump’s proposal. Its misleading to say: “..who all condemned the EPA proposal which they say fails to live up to President Trump’s promise”. You can simply say, “Trump did not live up to his promise,” instead of uselessy castigating the EPA (again) as a do-good, politically correct Boogieman out to get farmers. Simple: Trump and the EPA are not separate. Just like Obama wasn’t either.
