The inaugural Heart of America Agricultural Hemp Classic is scheduled for January 15-16, 2020 in Independence, Missouri at the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center.
Registration officially begins Black Friday, November 29, at mohempassociation.org.
The Classic is being organized by the Missouri Hemp Association (MHA), which formed earlier this year, and is open to farmers and allied industry throughout the American Heartland.
“We are calling it ‘Heart of America’ because it includes Missouri and the surrounding states of Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas,” says Bill Cook, MHA Executive Director.
Building on the success of the sold-out 2019 Missouri Hemp Conference, the Classic will feature speakers on growing hemp indoors and outdoors, as well as processors, end-users, and more. There is also a trade show component of the Classic for companies and other organizations seeking to participate.
The Classic kicks off January 15th with an evening dinner program strictly for MHA members, and the 16th will be a full-day program open to everyone.
Membership is available in several categories for MHA, which aims to be a resource for farmers to network and become actively involved in the development of the hemp industry.
