Swine Link is a network for women, by women hosted by Boehringer Ingelheim/BIVI. Several women in swine medicine (vets) met in Des Moines, Iowa July 12-13, 2013 to discuss experiences as women in the swine industry, network and learn about some of the current issues of the industry. While in Des Moines, the group took a tour of Meredith Publishing’s test kitchen and test gardens, participated in a cheese and wine pairing put together by the Cheese Shop owners C.J. and Kari Bienert, and participated in a cooking demonstration from Two Chicks from the Sticks cookbook author Jill Means and heard several informative presentations.
