JNHE Draws Over 900 Members

JNHE-official-logo Nearly 900 members of the National Junior Hereford Association (NJHA) were in Madison, Wisconsin, last week to participate in the annual Junior National Hereford Exposition (JNHE). The expo’s cattle show brought in over 1,600 entries vying for over $50,000 in prize money.

Amy Cowan, Director of Youth Activities and Foundation for the American Hereford Association and Director of the Hereford Youth Foundation of America, was on hand for an interview during the expo, which she played a major role in organizing. “The youth are the future of the agriculture industry, and for sure of the Hereford breed, and we’re really proud of what our youth accomplish as junior members, and it’s great to watch them to go on to be successful adults and members of the industry,” she said.
