Consequenses of Lower RFS Requirements

fuels-americaFuels America held a telephone conference call on Wednesday with biofuel stakeholders to discuss implications of lowering the 2014 Renewable Volume Obligations (RVOs) under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).

Geoff Cooper, Vice President for Research with the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) presented an analysis on how much the oil industry stands to gain if the RVOs are lowered.

DuPont Global Business Director for Biorefineries Jan Koninckx and Chris Standlee with Abengoa Bioenergy, executives from companies close to completing commercial scale cellulosic ethanol facilities, discuss what these proposed targets would mean for cellulosic ethanol in the near and long term.
